Volumizing products
Most volume building products contain paraffin or beeswax. This can build up and damage your hair. Chose products from a salon, these do not weigh down your hair. The classic example is a salon mousse which can be applied to the roots of your washed hair. Blow dry applying a little pressure with a comb for volume.
Coloring your hair when thin
If you want to color your hair even though they are already thin and damaged, keep in mind the harsh chemicals of permanent colors can damage them further breaking them. Semi-permanent colors do not contain ammonia or peroxide and can be safe for your hair. Make sure color is not left in for long or ‘over-processed’. Color highlights can actually lend a three dimensional depth to your hair, adding the much needed volume and a layered impression.
